The Cannon Heist

The craziest thing about Tehian is that even though he pulled off a real military victory against ridiculous odds, people see him as a troublemaker, not a real leader. Because Tehian is just a kid, right? Just another of the boys from Xonokah who got put to work down the mines after the conquerors swept in and took over.

Except Tehian is paying attention - he's making plans. He knows there are pulley systems in the mines to lift ore up the shaft to the surface. He also knows exactly where the conquerors have placed their cannon. And he and his equally reckless friends have the guts to dig a mineshaft right under the fort, steal the cannon, ride the elevators up to the surface and start raining cannonballs down on the conquerors with their own artillery.

He's never going to win, of course - as soon as the conquerors put together a counterattack, he has to run for it. But now his side has cannons.
